If God reveals himself to be the supreme value and excellence in the universe, then it follows that we should worship him for his supreme worth and beauty – and not just in a casual way, but with white-hot devotion. Our worship follows our values. For that is what worship is. It is the experience of valuing, and cherishing, and treasuring what we perceive to be our greatest treasure.
